Research & Projects

Our work focuses on advancing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) in healthcare and organizations through innovative studies, practical frameworks, and community engagement. Each project connects research with real-world application, ensuring that evidence translates into impact.

Exploring awareness, challenges, and inclusive practices among nurses and care professionals. This project investigates how diversity and equity are understood and practiced in German nursing, examining barriers to inclusive workplace cultures and opportunities for systemic improvement. The findings support the  development of training modules and policy recommendations for nursing education and practice.

Addressing diagnostic and treatment gaps for patients with diverse skin tones.

This study maps existing gaps in dermatological education, research, and practice, particularly the underrepresentation of darker skin tones in teaching materials. By building an evidence base, the project contributes to the development of inclusive curricula, improved diagnostic accuracy, and equitable care standards across Europe.

Reducing stigma, improving access to care, and strengthening community education. Conducted in partnership with local organizations, this project evaluates community-based interventions for people with albinism. It documents barriers to healthcare, stigma reduction strategies, and policy recommendations. The program serves as a model for inclusive community health initiatives in other low-resource settings.

Bringing together academia, healthcare, and industry to exchange insights and drive systemic change. The roundtables create a unique dialogue space where research findings meet lived experience and organizational practice. They foster collaboration between scientists, healthcare professionals, HR leaders, and industry stakeholders, generating actionable insights for more inclusive systems and workplaces.
